Volunteers

A large volunteer base helps deliver JazzFest and without this crew, our festival could not happen. Volunteers get up close to the artists and the behind the scenes work of the festival. They feel ownership in this big citywide event and for the most part, come back year after year.

Volunteer positions include front of house jobs like selling tickets, merchandise and refreshments, the transportation crew that takes care of shuttling artists both in town as well as to and from the Calgary airport, stage crews that move and set up staging, hospitality crews that help provide meals for the artists, and many more.

Besides the sense of accomplishment in helping to deliver JazzFest, volunteers get into the final concert free, get a JazzFest CREW T-Shirt and CD’s and may get to hear the music at the venue where they are assigned.

Anyone interesting in volunteering for JazzFest should contact the JazzFest at jazzfest@mhc.ab.ca with JazzFest volunteer in the subject line and we’ll pass your name along to our volunteer coordinator.
